Learning environments are unique to the age group, curriculum, and demographics of the target population. Spaces must be free of distractions yet allow for unimpeded interaction of the faculty and student. Spaces must be flexible and adaptable to accommodate the future learning needs of curriculums yet to be determined. J Holmes Architecture has extensive experience in the design of educational facilities from elementary, secondary and higher education as well as occupational technical training facilities of all kinds.

The design of healthcare facilities must provide a healing environment which will address the psychological and technical treatment needs of the patient. Previously, the treatment needs focused on accommodating the technical and clinical needs with marginal consideration given to the patient’s architectural space experience.
